Candidate Must Have :
- 4 – 10 years of hands-on experience as a Functional Consultant in D365 F&O / AX Finance.
- Strong expertise in configuring and supporting:
- General Ledger
- AP / AR
- Bank Management
- Fixed Assets
- Budgeting
- Cashflow / Financial Controls
- Project Accounting (preferred)
- Deep understanding of core finance business processes and how they translate into D365 F&O.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional processes across SCM, Sales, Procurement, and Projects.
- Experience delivering full life-cycle implementations (minimum 2 – 3 preferred).
- Proficiency with Lifecycle Services (LCS), including BPM, issue tracking, and task management.
- Experience preparing FRD/BRD, functional design documents, test scripts, and training materials.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams on integrations, reports, and customizations.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Financial Reporting, and Excel Add-ins is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-interaction skills.
- Current D365 Finance certification is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead functional design, configuration, and deployment of D365 Finance modules.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops, fit-gap analysis, and create high-quality functional documentation.
- Configure and support General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash & Bank Management, Project Accounting, and other finance-related modules.
- Provide guidance on financial reporting, tax setup, period-end processes, currency management, and intercompany setups.
- Lead and support Unit Testing, System Testing, UAT, and user training.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Support data migration activities including mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Act as the primary finance subject matter expert during full project lifecycle.
- Ensure solution alignment with industry best practices and client business goals.
- Assist with go-live preparation, cutover activities, and post-production support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in full life-cycle implementations of AX/D365 (3+ projects ideal).
- D365 certification (preferred).
- Experience working in a consulting environment with global clients.
- Knowledge of localization requirements (US/Canada/International).
- Ability to travel internationally up to 80% (if required).
- Valid work visa for Canada and/or the United States is a plus.
