We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Senior Supply Chain Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Advanced Warehousing (WMS) and Supply Chain modules. The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years of hands-on implementation experience and the ability to lead complex functional design, solution configuration, and end-to-end project delivery.
D365 F&O Senior SCM (Adv WHS) Consultant
Candidate Must Have :
- 4–10 years of hands-on experience as a Functional Consultant in D365 F&O / AX Supply Chain.
- Strong expertise in:
- Advanced Warehouse Management (WMS)
- Inventory Management
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Sales & Distribution
- PIM
- Logistics & Transportation (preferred)
- Deep understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including planning, sourcing, warehousing, order management, fulfillment, and logistics.
- Experience configuring key warehouse components such as:
- Work templates & Location directives
- Wave templates & Load planning
- Mobile device configuration
- Batch/serial control
- Wave & shipment workflows
- Hands-on experience with cross-functional scenarios involving Finance, Production, and Retail modules.
- Experience with full life-cycle implementations (minimum 2–3 preferred).
- Strong proficiency using Lifecycle Services (LCS) for solution management and documentation.
- Ability to create FRDs, FDDs, process flows, test scripts, and training materials.
- Understanding of integration needs for WMS, TMS, scanning devices, and 3PL providers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to recommend best-practice solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
- D365 Supply Chain / Warehouse certification is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution design and configuration of D365 Supply Chain and Advanced Warehousing modules.
- Conduct requirement workshops, fit-gap analysis, and produce detailed functional documentation.
- Configure and support:
- Inventory Management
- Warehouse Management (Advanced WMS)
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Sales & Distribution
- Product Information Management (PIM)
- Master Planning (MRP) (preferred)
- Define warehouse processes including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, cycle counting, work templates, location directives, and mobile device workflows.
- Support Inbound/Outbound logistics, transportation, 3PL models, cross-docking, and wave processing.
- Lead and manage Unit Testing, System Testing, UAT, and user training sessions.
- Work closely with technical teams on integrations, extensions, mobile device development, and reporting needs.
- Support data migration for inventory, items, warehouses, and supply chain master data.
- Act as the Supply Chain/Warehouse SME throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Provide go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operational transition.
- Align client supply chain processes to best practices within D365 F&O.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with 3PL models, multi-warehouse environments, and complex inventory processes.
- Exposure to Production / Manufacturing scenarios (an advantage).
- Understanding of industry-specific warehousing practices (Retail, Distribution, Food, Pharma, Manufacturing).
- Ability to travel internationally up to 80% (if required).
- Valid work visa for Canada and/or the United States is a plus.
